Western astrology
A natal chart is a map of the tropical sky at birth. The date places the Sun, Moon, and planets in the seasonal zodiac. The time and place set the rising sign and the houses. Enter those details for a wheel calculated from that birth, including the major aspects between the planets.
How to read the chart
The rising sign is the tropical sign on the eastern horizon. It begins the houses. The Moon is the faster, more intimate rhythm. The Sun is the seasonal center most people already know. Read those three before treating any one of them as the whole person.
Planets describe functions, signs describe style, houses describe the area of life, and aspects describe the conversation between two points. Conjunction, opposition, trine, square, and sextile are the five majors on Inner Light. The orb is how far the angle may stand from exact and still be counted.
This page uses the tropical zodiac. The same birth details on the birth chart page also produce a sidereal Kundli. Neither frame is a correction of the other; they are two long-standing ways of naming the same sky.
